hi! looking forward to the next show!
where have you found the vera november recording? also, i will have to check out the m.i.a. i don't think i gave her a fair shot, i only heard the last album once and just decided i wasn't into it really.
the vera november tune comes from an album called four songs by arthur russell (the other three artists covering the late russell are jens lekman, joel gibb, and taken by trees). i haven't heard any press about this release but just happened to run across it on emusic. worth checking out. (if you haven't heard much from arthur russell, i recommend checking him out as well - the albums calling out of context or world of echo are good starting points.)
i haven't listened to too much m.i.a. but "paper planes" sure is infectious!
thanks for the interest!
